Moreton Island is 38 kilometres in length and approximately 8 kilometres in width. The western beaches are protected by Moreton Bay and the eastern beaches are open to the elements of the Pacific Ocean. Travel on the island is by way of sand and beach tracks accessible only by 4WD vehicles. There is a huge variety of activities for all ages.
